SDCR
Business Systems is a leading provider of POS solutions for
independent and multi-unit operators in the foodservice, hospitality,
retail, and grocery industries. Founded in 1967 in Southern
California, SDCR has grown from a small cash register company
to become one of the leading full-service POS corporations
in North America.
SDCR has dominated the Southern California POS market for
many years. Because of the dominance in Southern California,
SDCR was able to attract the attention of a number of regional
multi-unit operators in the foodservice, retail, and grocery
industries. SDCR's engagements with multi-unit operators required
the company to become effective in delivering efficient service
to remote locations outside the Southern California area.
As a result, SDCR became proficient at providing depot hardware
repair and providing remote software support several years
before most POS companies realized the need for having the
in-house ability to service remote customers.
In the year 2000, SDCR made a sizeable investment in infrastructure
to allow full integration of the core competencies of Help
Desk, Depot Hardware Repair, and Spare Hardware Asset Tracking.
In early 2002, SDCR’s integrated service and support
solution became web-enabled, allowing SDCR service customers
the ability to view real-time POS service and support information
through a standard Internet connection.
SDCR elected to create a separate division of the company
to service the special service and support needs of multi-unit
operators, with the brand name of SupporTrak. SupporTrak was
launched in May of 2002 with over 1,000 locations being serviced
through the SupporTrak integrated service solution.
SDCR continues to dominate the Southern California POS marketplace
today and is one of the leading resellers of Aloha Technologies
and Quest POS in the world, and the Top IBM Business Partner
for POS.
